Tolleson has a rich and varied history, having been home to the Pima Indian tribe for over 2000 years. In 1912 W.G Tolleson founded the town on the site of Ten Mile Store a local stage station. Originally agriculturally-based, Tolleson is now distinguished by a strong commercial pressence.
